This past fall 298 people went on Kickstarter to "back" FisheWear on Kickstarter. Together, those people helped FisheWear raise more than $66,000. Many more people helped spread the word and shared the Kickstarter information with their friends.
We ran the Kickstarter campaign to expand our collection of fun and functional fishing fashion. Our goal was to change women's outdoor wear forever. We were the first women's fishing fashion company on Kickstarter.
Our funding goal was $50,000. We were thrilled when we reached our goal in less than a month, while on a trip to Kenai, Alaska.
The funds from Kickstarter went towards manufacturing a new wool collection. The wool collection includes skirted merino wool leggings, merino wool tops with a quarter-zipper, as well as matching wool neck tubes. We also used part of the funds to launch a new design--the Troutragous Rainbow--inspired by the rainbow trout. The Troutrageous Rainbow design will be launched on leggings, neck tubes and dry bags.
