Mission
The Product Developer will manage the successful translation of 2D design into 3D samples and commercialized products that meet or exceed the product brief, design intent, costing targets, and adhere to established quality standards.
As a champion of the prototyping and commercialization phases, the Product Developer must facilitate positive collaboration within the product team, across the organization, and with external partners to successfully execute and meet established workflow requirements, budget constraints, sampling standards, fit standards, and milestone dates.
Further, the Developer will manage materials, art, prototypes, specifications, bills of material, fit and communication with vendors to facilitate successful adoption into seasonal line planning.
Key Responsibilities
Seasonal proto and commercialization phases hit established milestone dates while adhering to budget constraints, workflow requirements, design intent, lab & field-testing standards, and costing targets.
Cultivation of positive teamwork and inspiration within the product team, across the organization, and with external partners through an open, professional, and collaborative work style.
Detailed creation, management and socialization of standardized Development documentation that successfully drives the proto and commercialization phases forward: product specs, quality specs, BOMs, etc.
Elevate the craftsmanship, quality, and finish of the growing technical and sportswear apparel line.
Ensure appropriate fit consistency across styles and garment types. Manage fit and measurement specifications.
Qualifications
2 – 3 years of experience in apparel product development, with a proven track record of successful commercialization.
Bachelor’s degree in product development or similar field preferred.
Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Excellent communications skills, ideally with experience working with global manufacturers.
Experience with all types of apparel; next to skin, mid-layers and outerwear.
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and Excel.
