The other day, I fished with a remarkable group of women who love to be on the river and, better yet, to serve as philanthropists. All of these women serve on boards or within foundations that serve our beloved, wild Alaska. We came together to fish, catching silver salmon on conventional and fly rods. Befittingly, pink lure and fly patterns ruled the day and landed the most fish. You can tell from the hooked snout that this is a male silver — a beautiful fish for a beautiful day spent with friends.
